L'Econyl®, la matière écoresponsable de notre ensemble Bliss - Bloomy

What is Econyl® ?

Econyl® is a recycled nylon introduced to the market by an Italian company in 2011. The ECONYL® yarn is a 100% regenerated nylon fiber made from waste materials such as discarded fishing nets recovered from the oceans. Through a unique regeneration and purification process, ECONYL® recycled nylon achieves the same purity as fossil-based nylon and can be recycled infinitely without losing quality.

An Eco-Responsible Alternative to Traditional Synthetic Fibers

Compared to traditional synthetic fibers like polyester or elastane, Econyl® significantly reduces water consumption and greenhouse gas emissions associated with their production. Additionally, using this recycled fiber prevents waste incineration, a practice harmful to the environment.

With Econyl®, we give a second life to abandoned fishing nets, which account for over 10% of hazardous waste threatening marine biodiversity. By transforming these nets into a new textile fiber, we help reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry and preserve natural resources.

Beyond being eco-friendly, Econyl® offers numerous benefits for sportswear. It is soft, breathable, and stretches easily, providing comfort and unrestricted freedom of movement. Econyl® is also resistant to chlorine and UV rays, meaning it does not fade or deteriorate easily when exposed to sunlight or water, making it perfect for water activities and intense workout sessions.

Durability is another key advantage of Econyl®. Unlike other sports materials that can tear or deform over time, Econyl® is resistant to wear and retains its shape and quality even after many washes. It doesn't pill, ensuring that your child can enjoy their Bliss set for years, and it can be reused as second-hand. ♻️

By incorporating eco-responsible practices and educating our youth on the importance of these choices, we hope not only to influence the fashion industry but also to inspire other brands and consumers to make informed and responsible decisions. 💚🌍

Ethical, trendy, and sustainable fashion is possible for our children too! Let's educate them from a young age about environmental issues and their impact on our planet.
